BLACK BREATH

Not alot i can say about this one as far as those hardcore bands that blend hardcore with trash and other metal influences Black Breath are pretty high up there. They blend ramped up 80's style hardcore with that evil sounding thrash from the same decade that i used to be obsessed with as a high school freshman think Poison Idea meets Celtic Frost and you kinda get the idea. Anyway both these albums are still available so get hold of them if you get the chance and if they come to your area definately go see them. i know i will

OVERLOOKED

this is i guess the first post of good nc bands Overlooked is a hardcore band from Wilmington NC they play fast angry hardcore. im terrible at likening one band to another so im not going to try to do that. i was gonna see them at breast fest but i didnt have any money and i hate the kid that was our ride so that didnt happen and i dont get to go to shows that often anymore so yeah... anyhow this is there demo inclding an intro its 4 songs in like i think 5 of 6 minutes guilt trip and the downsound are the best songs on here imo they have a new ep or whatever out on life to live records called nothing is sacred so you should pick that up. the demo was released on 50 cds and 50 tapes but theyre all sold out now so give this a listen if youre into hardcore itll be a good addition to your collection

SUMMONS TO YOMI/aperature.

Summons to Yomi/aperature. was a screamo band from Lewes, Delware. they have since broken up they put out three releases in a the year or so they were active the first was prologue, a good begining but it didnt quite do it for me. most of the songs were very chaotic with breakdowns but with obvious screamo influence it all starts and it dies where it rests  is the highlight of prologue imo. basement demos was the second release it was a step forward in the bands musical direction, the songs on this one excluding a rerecording of hello floor from prologue are all full fledged screamo tunes and this was when i got really into these guys. and finally epilogue, the last 3 songs they made when i first heard these songs i was really blew away. they really remind of envy and suis la lune idk if anyone else hears it but i think these are there best songs. im really sad they broke up expecially how good the epilogue was. but a few guys in the band started a thrashy trash talk type hardcore band if youre into that you can check them out here but i seriously suggests you download aperture.'s stuff

ISELIA

im going to get this out of the way first this is my band i play drums we play screamo influence by post rock and 90's emo. we have been called god tier by one guy and archetypal by another i think our stuff is some where in the middle but closer to shit tier than god tier. this is our first three songs we recorded them with mike from pianos become the teeth and that was a great experiance im not gonna hype us up if you want to check us out but yeah its cool if your not into us

i just wanna say why i started this blog, i feel that hardcore,screamo,punk,etc should be for everyone and not just for a small elistist group. when i go to shows people look at me like i dont belong there even though ive been into this kinda music longer than most of them have but im gonna stop bitching. mainly im going to post band that i think are awesome and that i think more people need to know about, since most of the music i listen to falls in the hardcore, screamo, post hardcore, emo, and post rock genres most of my post will also fall into those genres but dont be suprised to see metal, acoustic, grind, and even metalcore (gasp) on here. i also hope to post up a good bit of bands from my homestate of NC as theres virtually no screamo bands here (i can think of 3 maybe) a handfull of good hardcore bands NC bands will probably make up the bulk of my metal and metalcore posts. hopefully i will introduce some new music to you.
